International Students

SULS International is new, fresh and full of great ideas

Created in Semester Two 2009, the International Students portfolio aims to represent the needs of all international students pursuing the study of law at the University of Sydney, who make up approximately a quarter of all law students on campus.

Most international students face significant hurdles in adjusting to life in a new country. In addressing these issues, the 2010 SULS International Student Portfolio will be working towards:

  • Increasing international student representation and fostering international student involvement in its activities
  • Guiding students to the various international student support services available on campus, ranging from academic help to financial, equity and accommodation assistance
  • Working to increase Faculty support for international students as they transition to the Sydney Law School
  • Where international students are not eligible to apply for most law clerkships and graduate positions due to visa restrictions, drawing students to the broad range of international employment opportunities and guiding students to the various immigration services available

We seek to work with students from all year groups. All undergraduate, postgraduate, graduate, Exchange and Study Abroad students are encouraged to get involved.
