Allen & Overy Online Textbook Exchange  

The Allen & Overy Online Textbook Exchange is to be strictly for the purchase and sale of law textbooks prescribed by the LLB and Juris Doctor courses offered at Sydney University. Any posts which do not adhere to this rule will be removed by the SULS.

GUIDELINES FOR USE

To use SULS Online Textbook Exchange, you will need to navigate the Airtable board below. The board showcases a range of subjects in column style from Foundations of Law to final year electives on the very right. You can browse the options by scrolling up or down within each subject-specific column to find a textbook that you need.

FOR SELLERS

To sell a textbook on SULS Online Textbook Exchange, you will need to fill out the Textbook Submission Form on the bottom of this site. You don’t need an account to do this. You will be asked to fill out the following details: Name of Textbook (and edition), Subject, Name of Seller, Author(s), Cover Image, Price, Condition, Contact Phone Number, Email and/or Further Information.

For the Cover Image, we strongly recommend that you upload a photo of your hard copy textbook so that buyers can have an idea of how the textbook looks and proof that you are in possession of the book.

Once you click ‘Submit’, your textbook listing will show up on the Airtable board above the form. Please be advised that this may take up to 10 minutes. Buyers will then be able to contact you through the contact details you provided in the form.

Note: Your textbook listing will automatically be removed after 6 months. If your textbook has been sold before then or you simply wish to delete your listing, please email educationcommittee@suls.org.au to have your listing removed off the board.

FOR BUYERS

To purchase a book, please contact the seller using the information they provide within their listing on the board. To help you find your desired textbook, click on ‘View larger version’ on the bottom right corner of the Airable board to access all the features. Then use the search tool on the top right corner to type in key words that will help your search, e.g., ‘Contract 13th ed’ or ‘Cases’.
